Bali Lagi! Bali again...

Hello All!

Headed to Bali once again! I was first there in 1998, on a Fulbright fellowship studying the intersection of art and ritual - my specific focus was on the ceremonial terracottas in Bali. Then in 2002 I returned to work with local potters in the village of Bedulu and film their process. Not a day goes by when I do not think of my Bali time and have long longed to return. I know I will find it much changed. I hope to be able to re-connect with old Balinese friends and show little Elsa some slices of my Bali.

So now I go - husband and child in tow. It's the eve of our leave-taking - really real now! It's a long haul in the air and on the ground. We leave Monday April 6, 9:05pm out of Dulles and 36 hours later (if all goes well) will be in our villa in Penestanan (just on the outskirts of Ubud) eating gado-gado and mi goreng! Sama banyak kecap manis dan cabai! If you want a taste of where we're going to be based check out the links below!
